Frequentely
asked questions

  • At Passwerk, we value and understand the unique contributions of individuals with autism in the workforce. However, we do not offer internships, holiday jobs, or volunteering opportunities.

Our model is consultancy-based, with employees working on-site at client locations. This structure makes it challenging to organise internships or temporary assignments. Additionally, our employees undergo an extensive assessment and training program to prepare them fully for their assignments, which is not suited to the context of internships or holiday work.

  • Passwerk offers specific services to external customers, such as companies, banks, and website developers. We only provide training to our employees tailored to our services. For example, we offer training in software testing, BI consultancy, or SOC analysis. However, SOC analysis candidates must already hold at least a bachelor's degree in ICT.

At Passwerk, you first become an employee after successfully completing the application process before accessing our internal training programs. We do not offer standalone training courses for people with autism.

Prior programming training ("high-code" such as .NET or Java) is required to qualify as a software developer. Passwerk does not provide such training.

  • Passwerk specialises in services such as software testing, support processes, software development (high-code and low-code), cybersecurity (SOC) and business intelligence. We match assignments within these areas to our consultants and provide job coaching throughout their employment.

We are not an employment agency that finds jobs for individuals with autism in various industries. If you are looking for work outside our expertise, we recommend contacting VDAB (GTB) or a Specialized Training, Guidance, and Mediation Service.

  • Our application process allows you to apply for the same position a second time under the following conditions:

    • At least one year must have passed since your first application process.

    • A second application will be treated as a new (first) application.

  • Most assignments are located in the Brussels region, so it is important to be able to commute there. A maximum travel time of about one hour is considered acceptable.

For candidates in West Flanders, we primarily focus on Roeselare, Kortrijk, and Bruges, with Brussels as a secondary option.

  • Most consultants at Passwerk work full-time (38 hours per week), while a smaller group works 30 hours. Due to the nature of our services, working only one, two, or three days a week is not feasible. A minimum schedule of four days per week applies.

Additionally, the intensive selection process (including interviews, tests, and assessments) may be too demanding for individuals with limited capacity.

  • Depending on our growth, we may recruit additional job coaches. If we are hiring, we will announce this via a pop-up on our website.

You are also welcome to submit a spontaneous application via our website.

  • Passwerk consultants work both on-site at client locations and from one of our offices. If the client permits, this can be combined with remote work.

  • Passwerk specifically seeks employees with an official autism diagnosis. The impact of autism varies widely, as does the diagnostic process.

An official diagnosis indicating the presence of autism or autism characteristics is required for recruitment.

Passwerk does not provide diagnoses. For more information, you can consult your GP, a medical specialist, or other care providers, such as psychologists or autism coaches. They may refer you to a specialised diagnostic centre or psychiatrist for an official diagnosis.

  • The timing of recruitment rounds for software testers depends on market conditions and future opportunities. Recruitment begins only when we can secure enough assignments for potential new employees.

This approach means no fixed deadlines can be given for the next recruitment round.
You can apply anytime. The selected candidates will be informed individually when assessments begin.

Software developers ("high-code" such as .NET or Java) and BI consultants can apply year-round. Suitable candidates will be invited for an interview.

  • The timing of software tester interviews depends on market conditions and prospects. Recruitment rounds start only when sufficient assignments are secured.

While you can apply anytime, the waiting period between application and interview may vary. After applying, you will receive individual updates regarding the timeline.
