Fonds ICT Community for ASD

Updated: Jul 5, 2023

The ‘ICT community for ASD Fund’ was established in 2012 by Passwerk as part of the Koning Boudewijnstichting. The purpose of this fund is to financially support projects that contribute to improving the housing-, living- and working conditions of people with autism or that contribute to destigmatising autism.

The foundation of the fund is in line with the realisation of our 'social objective'. Prior to the creation of this fund, financial support was granted directly through our General Assembly. In total, Passwerk has supported 77 projects for a total amount of 556 471 euros.

Each year, the Koning Boudewijnstichting calls for projects to be submitted that may be eligible for financial support. An annual theme linked to this is determined for which extra attention will be paid when selecting projects to be supported. The central theme this year is 'empowerment'.

The jury consists of the board committee (see the members at www.ictforasd.be) plus the Passwerk Lifetime Achievement Award laureate.

In the video below, Gerdy De Clercq, Chairman of the fund, and Dirk Rombaut, member of the fund's management committee, explain this initiative and how it works.
